2024 Employment Opportunities

Available Positions:

Design/Bouquet Manager

We are going big with our pre-made bouquet options in 2024. Exciting changes are coming to our roadside stand! The Design Manager position will have the flexibility to create a system that would keep our self-serve stand stocked with fresh product.

Our production team will work closely with this person to communicate what flowers are able to be cut and used for the week’s creations.

While this is a contract position with flexible hours and workflow, we envision this role requiring two to three hours on two to three days each week, June through October. While flexible, a routine is needed so our customers can anticipate stock times. For example, one day would focus on cutting all the material, the next day would involve making all the bouquets, keeping them in the farm’s walk-in cooler to then be placed out on the self-serve stand throughout the week.

Compensation: Sales Commission Based

*Applicant must be 18 years or older

General Farm Laborer

Terra Farms is excited to add another part-time employee to help grow a quickly expanding and exciting business. The ideal candidate is passionate about cultivating beautiful locally grown flowers and can work independently and with few instructions.

This position is 12-15 hours a week split between two days. Ideally Tuesday and Thursday, as those are our big field work days.

As this is a field work job, the ideal applicant must be physically able to lift, stand and function in the weather elements. Positive work attitude is a must! A typical workday will be completing the tasks set out by field manager and range from weeding, planting, hauling compost, harvesting flowers, deadheading, flipping beds… real flower farm work.

Position begins in May, 2024

New Employee -- $15/hr

*Applicant must be 18 years or older

U-Pick Attendant

The core of Terra Farms is the U-Pick. This role entails working the popular (and busy) U-Pick stand on Friday/Saturday 2:15-7:15PM. This is less labor intensive and much more focused on delivering the very best customer service. It involves processing payments (cash and electronic), coaching customers through the picking process and wrapping bouquets when customers check out. Of upmost importance is a positive, friendly attitude when helping customers. It’s where we get to bring the fruit of our labor to the public.

Position begins approximately June 28, 2024 with the opening of our U-Pick and runs until first frost — usually mid October.

Occasionally, other hours will be available based on seasonal demand, weddings, large orders, and our date night/brunch events, etc. Position may extend to our popular wreath-making season as well, but not required.

This is an exciting, part-time, non-exempt position with the opportunity to play a critical role in a quickly growing business – approximately 10-15 hours per week.
